A letter of thanks

We received this letter from a pair of siblings that received a mini-grant from our winter quarter. See the letter below:

Dear members of the CCAMR,

Thank you so very much for your thoughtfulness and generosity with the awarding of a grant to Marci and Austin. The ramp conversion on the van is working so beautifully for us. We are able to roll Marci into the van, buckle her in, and off we go… to the store, to an appointment, to visit family and friends. No more lifting Marci into and out of the van at each stop we make and no more lifting her stroller in and out also. It’s wonderful- as we not don’t worry about hurting Marci with the constant lifting. Austin has no problems now getting into and out of the van. The ramp is so helpful! Thank you again! Blessings to all!

Do you have a need that CCAMR can support financially that will increase your independence?

Apply for the next round of mini-grants by May 1. See eligibility and application on the Mini-Grants page.

Board Meeting

We had a great board meeting last night and discussed how we as CCAMR can better meet the needs of adults with Intellectual Disabilities in this community.

We are feeling fired up and a renewed sense of passion for advocacy and mentoring support!

We also welcomed back Debbie Shelden to our board. We are excited to have her energy and expertise in CCAMR.

Don’t forget about the November 1st deadline for the mini-grant application!

Remember to read through the application thoroughly and to fully complete it.
